🌿 EU Organic 🌼 Single-origin · Premium 🇨🇳 From China

Single-origin organic white tea Mao Feng Spezial from China — one of the noblest white tea specialities with hand-picked young leaves and fine tippy tips. Mild, floral and gently sweet — a tea for connoisseurs of fine aromas.

The ORGANIC China Mao Feng Spezial is a single-origin organic white tea from traditional Chinese cultivation. The name "Mao Feng" (毛峰) roughly means "hairy peak" — a reference to the fine tippy tips of the young leaves, which give this tea its characteristic elegance. The gentle processing as white tea — minimal oxidation — preserves the delicate aroma of the fresh leaves. A premium speciality for tea lovers who appreciate fine, gently floral taste profiles.

TASTE & CHARACTER

Mild, floral, gently sweet

This exclusive white tea convinces with a delicate, elegant taste profile:
  • Aroma: floral-sweet with fine honey and apricot notes — very fine and elegant
  • Cup colour: light golden to champagne-coloured with crystal-clear brilliance
  • Taste: mild, gently sweet, with a delicate honey smoothness and light floral depth — no bitterness
  • Character: elegant, fine & meditative — a tea for quiet moments and mindful enjoyment

THE INGREDIENT

Pure white tea — single-origin and delicate

This variety consists of 100 % of a single organic ingredient — no blends, no added flavourings:
  • White tea (Mao Feng Spezial, China): hand-picked young tea leaves with fine tippy tips, gently processed, from certified organic cultivation
What is white tea? White tea is the least processed type of tea of all — the leaves are merely withered and gently dried, without intense oxidation. This preserves the fine aromas and the natural elegance of the young leaves. Mao Feng is among the highest-quality white tea varieties in China.

PREPARATION

How to brew the perfect infusion — please use only lukewarm water

Important: White tea is very sensitive and does not tolerate boiling water — otherwise it becomes bitter and loses its fine aroma. The lower water temperature is essential:

📌 Classic preparation

  1. Water temperature: 70–80 °C (let the water cool for 3–4 minutes after boiling!)
  2. Dosage: 1 heaped tsp per 250 ml (~2 g)
  3. Steeping time: 2–4 minutes
  4. Enjoy: traditionally pure — the fine aroma needs no addition

🍵 Tip: multiple infusions

High-quality white teas like the Mao Feng are suitable for several infusions — the leaves can be infused 2–3 times with fresh hot water. With each infusion new flavour facets of the noble leaves emerge. The steeping time can be extended slightly from the 2nd infusion.

ORGANIC QUALITY & ORIGIN

Care from the plantation to the cup

  • 100 % EU Organic certified — from certified organic cultivation (DE-ÖKO-039)
  • Origin: traditional Chinese tea growing regions
  • Processing: minimal — only withering and gentle drying (white tea standard)
  • Premium quality: hand-picked young leaves with tippy tips
  • Filled in Germany — short supply chains, transparent processing
  • Without additives — no flavourings, colourings or preservatives

STORAGE

Storage & shelf life

  • Airtight: tea tin made of metal or dark glass
  • Protected from light & dry: not in the refrigerator (condensation!)
  • Separate from intense teas: white tea is very sensitive to aromas — never store next to smoked teas, chai or fruit teas
  • Shelf life: approx. 18–24 months (premium white tea even gains aroma over time — if stored correctly)
