ABOUT OUR ROOIBOS BLENDS
Aromatic organic tea blends with rooibos as the base
At DieTees you will find aromatic organic tea blends with rooibos as their base — redbush from the Cederberg mountains in South Africa, combined with creamy vanilla and caramel notes, fruity accents or sweet chocolate. Popular choices are our Bio Rooibos Vanille, the creamy Karamell-Sahne Rooibos, the fruity Maracuja-Orange Rooibos, the dessert-like Rooibos-Mate Schokolade and the elegant Rooibos Rhabarber-Sahne.
Rooibos blends combine the sweet, malty base of redbush with flavouring ingredients — from creamy cream and caramel notes to fruity passion fruit or chocolate accents. Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins, so it does not taste bitter even after a long steep and suits any time of day. Flavouring is done gently with essential plant oils, without synthetic additives.
Loose rooibos in blends delivers more aroma than tea bags, because the finely cut needles and whole pieces of fruit and spice release their essential oils better. One exception are rooibos-mate blends — these do contain caffeine from the mate component (shown on the ingredients list).

FLAVOUR PROFILES
Which rooibos blends are there?
Rooibos blends can be grouped roughly by flavour profile — each blend with its own character:
- Sweet & creamy — Rooibos Vanille, Karamell-Sahne or Rhabarber-Sahne — dessert-like, mild and harmonious.
- Fruity — Maracuja-Orange Rooibos — exotically sweet on the sweet, malty base.
- Hybrid with mate — Rooibos-Mate Schokolade — rooibos combined with yerba mate for a light caffeine note (shown on the ingredients list).
- With herbs — blends with peppermint, lavender or other herbs for more complex flavour profiles.
