Chocolate Rooibos Mate Tea — an unusual composition: mild-sweet rooibos and roasted mate as a dual base, refined with chocolate flakes, cocoa beans and coconut rasp. Chocolatey-warm in profile, with natural mate caffeine, a dessert tea with a gentle energy boost. Contains soy and sugar.
Our Chocolate Rooibos Mate Tea combines two tea worlds in one cup: mild-sweet rooibos from South Africa meets roasted mate (20%) from South America — an unusual but harmonious dual base. The blend is refined with chocolate flakes (with sugar and the emulsifier soy lecithin), aromatic cocoa beans and coconut rasp. The result: a chocolatey-warm tea with surprising depth and gentle mate caffeine.
Brewed hot, the tea yields a warm copper-brown cup with a cocoa-warm profile and a light herbal-green note from the mate. A perfect companion for the mid-morning break or as an energising dessert tea in the afternoon.
Taste & character
Chocolatey. Warm. Mild-green.
- First note: cocoa-warm chocolate and sweet rooibos
- Middle: herbal-green mate depth and roasted cocoa note
- Finish: a hint of coconut, rounded and soft
- Mouthfeel: round, chocolatey, with a green depth
🌿 Dual base · rooibos & mate
The special feature: two tea plants as a base that complement rather than compete. Rooibos (South Africa) brings natural sweetness, a mild character and is naturally caffeine-free. Roasted mate (South America) brings herbal-green depth and natural caffeine. Together they create a tea that feels mild and not too strong, yet still delivers a gentle wake-up effect — a perfect bridge between enjoyment and energy.
