🌿 EU Organic 🍋 Fresh & spicy 🇩🇪 Processed in Germany

A refreshing organic tea blend on a green tea base — spicy ginger heat meets zesty lemon notes. Ideal hot in winter and chilled as iced tea in summer.

The BIO Ingwer-Zitrone Tee combines the spicy heat of ginger with the fresh citrus note of lemon and the delicately tart structure of green tea. The balanced organic composition impresses with a clear, fruity-spicy flavour profile. All ingredients come from certified organic cultivation and are processed with care.

TASTE & CHARACTER

Fresh, citrusy, spicy

This blend is distinguished by a refreshing, multi-layered profile:

  • Aroma: zesty lemon notes combine with a distinct ginger heat
  • Cup colour: clear light green with golden reflections
  • Taste: balanced — the delicately tart green tea base carries the spice, lemon adds freshness
  • Character: harmoniously balanced, whether infused hot or chilled as iced tea

THE INGREDIENTS

Five organic components in harmonious balance

All components come from certified organic cultivation and are gently processed:

  • Green tea (Sencha & Chun Mee): delicately tart, fresh base with natural caffeine
  • Ginger: spicy and hot — the full-character root
  • Lemon peel & natural lemon oil: a zesty citrus note in the aroma
  • Lemongrass: mild-fruity freshness
  • Marigold blossoms: a decorative floral note for visual elegance

PREPARATION

How to make the perfect infusion — hot or cold

Since the tea contains green tea, a slightly lower water temperature applies than for pure herbal or spiced teas — this avoids bitterness from the green tea:

📌 Hot preparation

  1. Water temperature: 80–85 °C (let the water cool for 1–2 min. after boiling)
  2. Dosage: 1 heaped tsp per 250 ml (~2 g)
  3. Steeping time: 3–5 minutes
  4. Enjoy: pure, with honey or a splash of fresh lemon

🧊 As iced tea (summer variant)

  1. Prepare the tea hot as above — dosed a little stronger (1.5 tsp per 250 ml)
  2. After steeping, strain and let cool in the fridge
  3. Pour over ice cubes — optionally with fresh lemon/lime slices and mint

ORGANIC QUALITY & ORIGIN

Care from the plantation to the cup

  • 100% EU Organic-certified — all ingredients from certified organic cultivation
  • Packed in Germany — short supply chains, transparent processing
  • No artificial flavourings — the citrus note comes solely from real lemon peel + lemon oil
  • No additives — no colourings or preservatives
  • Gently processed — aroma protection is the priority

STORAGE

Storage & shelf life

  • Airtight: tea caddy of metal or dark glass
  • Protected from light & dry: not in the fridge (condensation!)
  • Separate from more intense teas: citrus notes can transfer to other varieties
  • Shelf life: approx. 12–18 months (the green tea portion is more sensitive than pure herbal teas)
