ABOUT OUR PLANT-BASED TEAS

Organic teas from classic plants

At DieTees you will find a selection of organic teas from traditional plants — from Asian classics such as moringa, tulsi and turmeric to European classics such as lavender and bitter herbs. Popular choices are our single-origin Bio Tulsikraut, the Bio Lavendelblüten, the aromatic Bio Kräutertee Moringa-Kurkuma as well as spicy blends such as Ingwer-Kurkuma and Blutorange-Kurkuma.

This category brings together classic plant-based teas from various tea traditions — botanical plants that have long been part of tea infusions. All organic teas are foods — not medicines. They are traditionally enjoyed as gentle infusions.

Loose plant-based tea delivers more aroma than tea bags — whole flowers, leaves and roots release their essential oils better. At DieTees we use pure organic ingredients without artificial flavourings and without additives.

⚠️ Important legal notice: All organic teas at DieTees are foods and not medicines. Despite the category name, the teas are not intended to treat, cure or prevent diseases. The descriptions of the plants are purely botanical and cultural information. If you have health-related questions, persistent complaints or before taking certain plants (e.g. tulsi, liquorice, olive leaf), please consult a medical professional, pharmacy or general practitioner. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and people with pre-existing conditions or on medication should seek advice first.

Tulsi (botanically Ocimum tenuiflorum) — also called "holy basil" — is a traditional Indian plant that has long been part of Ayurvedic tea infusions. It has a characteristic spicy, aromatic profile with a light anise note.
Moringa (botanically Moringa oleifera) — also called the "miracle tree" — is an Asian plant whose dried leaves are used for infusions. It is characterised by its green leaves and mild, vegetal taste.
Water temperature boiling (100 °C), steeping time 5–10 minutes. About 1 heaped teaspoon per 250 ml. Roots and seeds take longer than flowers. Enjoy plain or with honey to taste.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should clarify the consumption of certain plants (e.g. tulsi, liquorice, olive leaf, sage, lavender in larger amounts) individually with a medical professional, pharmacy or midwife. We give no blanket recommendations here.
