Organic Farming: Fewer Residues, Stricter Controls

In organic farming, synthetic pesticides are not permitted. According to the annual reports of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) , imported teas are regularly tested for residues — organic products are subject to additional, regular checks along the supply chain.
